Another test with another program – BlogDesk

Hello,

After conducting a lot more research, I have come back to the idea (over whelming conclusion) that I need to just start using Microsoft Word to update my blog. The open source programs that are available are either way out of date or they really don’t live up to the capabilities of Microsoft Word.

Today I am testing out another program called BlogDesk. It is like the old Windows Essentials Windows LiveWriter but is more stripped down.  I did manage to get the Open Live Writer to work but it has quirks and I can’t get the plug-ins to work.

Here’s some advice, you will save much more time by just going to the WordPress.com’s Website. Go along with their system that is already in place.  I will more than likely revert to Microsoft Office for blogging, book writing, and everything else that involves writing novels.

I plan on using the entire Microsoft Office Suite, I’ll build everything from the ground up. But, I will use the other software such as WritersCafe & Jutoh, FreeWriter, Scrivener, WriteItNow, Bibisco, YWriter, LibreOffice, OpenOffice, and NovelFactory to work on the development of my story writing.  There are other software programs that I haven’t listed.

Overall, it looks like Microsoft has got the edge on them all.  I’m going to try and post this blog with BlogDesk.  Have a super day!

  Best Regards,

  Paul Sergent

P.S. I couldn’t get BlogDesk to configure so guess what I posted with? MS Word…
