Here is my response to Scott Ewing: who wrote the following: Paul Sergent Do you not see what this is doing? First, its taking money and putting it in the stock market, where it could lose value. Though, it profits wall Wallstreet upon purchases and likely as long as the money sat in the account. Second, you would lose the pre-negotiated discounted prices on all services. Third, as it stands you can only have an FSA through an employer. Not all employers offer them, and anybody, who is out of work, or doesn’t have a company plan couldn’t invest that way. Then you would also need to submit paperwork to your employer for some reimbursements of expenses that they will have to approve. Lastly, the money in an FSA has to be spent annually. If not, it likely is forfeited to the employer.

This statement is totally irresponsible and is trying to gas light the American people. It is riddled with untruth and full of the same old tired Democrat talking points since Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Democrats in Congress jammed Obama Care down the throats of the American people in 2010 without any Republican support. Obama Care is not affordable and has had to be subsidized on top of being subsidized just to put lipstick on a pig. The Democrats used Covid 19 as an excuse to subsidize their failed healthcare program. The Affordable Care Act (Obama Care) was used as an excuse to put subsidies on top of subsidies. It is not affordable at all! 

The Democrats voted and approved to sunset the Covid 19 ACA emergency subsidies that they extended and threw more money at the current ACA which had already been extended once in the ACA. They had to subsidize the subsidies and the Democrats are the ones who put Dec 31, 2025 as an expiration date to the Covid 19 extended subsidies. Then they wagged their fingers and looked down their noses at the Republicans, blamed the Republicans for shutting down the government and then the Democrats, in the same breath, voted to shut our government down.

They tried to lecture America saying Obama Care is our only hope and no matter what Republicans ideas are, they are not sufficient but don’t want to hear any of their ideas. Why not?

Well, I have a lot to say about that. Democrat power and rule are now over with finally. Thanks to America reelecting President Trump in November 2024. The Democrat’s failed policies are over with now. 

President Trump has been trying to correct all this fraud, waste, and abuse and all of the other Democrat broken policies these last 10 months. It did not get that way overnight and will not be fixed overnight. At least President Trump is trying to make his campaign promises come true. Unlike the Democrat’s promises and old campaign talking points.

The last administration (Joe Biden and Kamala Harris) are responsible for the high costs of everything today because they had failed policies and went on Trillion dollar spending sprees. 

It was Not President Trump nor the Republicans!

Now, to your points which are severely flawed: First off, this is the first time since the failed subsidies that were placed on top of the ACA subsidies and the sunset for them to expire is the first chance for any Republicans to offer their healthcare ideas. It is the first time they are even been given a chance to be heard on the Senate floor.

This post stemmed from me watching C-Span 2 and you should watch it more. Let’s not forget that Senator Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats were in the Majority just 10 short months ago when Biden was still President in the White House and cooky cackling Kamala Harris was forced upon the American people without any Democrat vote. Not to mention the Corrupt Government interference and lawfare that went after President Trump and the Republicans. 

As I speak right now, our stock markets are at a record high in the last 10 months since Donald Trump became President and they are now over 48,000. They were around 40,000 when Trump took office on Jan 20, 2025. 

You want to talk about the stock market? I think Nancy Pelosi is doing quite well along with other Democrats in healthcare stocks since 2010. Look it up. You cannot miss it!

It is called insider trading and Nancy Pelosi has had a 217,000% stock market increase since Obama Care was passed. 

1. This is a proposal by Senate Republican Cassidy from Louisiana and nothing has been agreed to, set in stone, and he has just now been able to bring something like this to the floor of the Senate because their ideas were always shot down by the 2024 Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer when he was the Senate majority leader and let’s not forget about all of the Last Congressional House Republican bills that had been passed in the house. These bills, I believe, 124 of them, were put in a drawer and were never brought to the Senate floor for a vote because the then Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer wouldn’t do it (and I’m pretty sure the rest of the Democrats were okay with it, too include President Biden and our former Border Czar Kamala Harris. 

2. No one has said it would go into the stock market (those are your words) at all and it is labeled pre-funded flexibke spending healthcare accounts that would rollover each year which covers the Emergency ACA subsidies which pertains to 3.3% of the American people who are currently on the ACA.

The ones who are currently affected by the Covid 19 extended subsidies does nothing to affect the other 22 million Americans on ACA because those subsidies are already permanently signed into law. It is reported that an estimated 4-6 million people are on the ACA and they aren’t even aware of it. The more fraud that there is makes it even worse!

So what Senator Cassidy is briefing here in the photo that I posted and what he is recommending is to take the Covid 19 extended subsidy money that expires Dec 31, 2025 and use it to help make a minor fix to the current ACA and open it to personal accounts and not just to employers.

It would take the money that was used to subsidize the subsidies (3.3%) and extend the ACA Covid 19 emergency subsidies by using them and putting them in as prefunded health care flex accounts instead of continuing giving those emergency subsidies to health insurance companies. Instead, it would go to the individual American to help them pay for their current healthcare. It is said that 20% of the money from the current emergency Covid 19 subsidies goes to administrative costs only and does not go towards anyone’s healthcare at all. FULL STOP!

And of course, Congress would have to vote on it and open it up for personal healthcare accounts and not just towards business accounts which shoots down your other Democrat flawed talking point. 

America is smarter than that and they are tired of the gaslighting!

There would be no pre-negotiating needed for personal healthcare accounts because 100% of the Emergency Covid 19 subsidies would go to the individual American. 

Again, we are referencing the subsidies of the subsidies, the 3.3% covid emergency subsidies which are set to expire Dec 31, 2025 that the Democrats voted on and approved last year when Chuck Schumer was still the Senate Majority leader.

So, your point about renegotiate discounted prices on all services is mute and again a fake, failed, tired, untrue, and flawed Democrat talking point. But America is smarter than that. It is time for all of the double talk and speaking out both sides of your mouth to come to an end. An abrupt end!

If this were to be approved by Congress then it would not just be available to businesses, it would be available to personal accounts. But you have to listen in order for it to be a two way conversation which is how you debate. This is the peaceful way of going about things and not trying to force yourself upon half the nation. Remember,  Obama Care was passed solely by Democrats and it has failed. This is why all of the prices have went up exponentially. It is  solely on the Democrats and now the Republicans are trying to fix it. If we could only get past all of the Democrat obstruction and stall tactics we could move much faster and pass good law and good healthcare. Obama Care = Bad healthcare!

Again, Senator Cassidy’s proposal is not an end all fix to Obama Care. He is only talking about the extended emergency Covid 19 subsidies that are set to expire on Dec 31, 2025. The subsidies that the Democrats all voted for last year that were set to expire. The same subsidies they voted on. Not the Republicans. The Republicans are trying to step in and fix these failed healthcare policies that the Democrats put in place.

It would be opened up to and available to each and every legal American person who is currently on the ACA and it would be an option to gave a pre-funded flexible healthcare savings account. Again, it would be for every legal American to decide on personally. The emergency subsidy (Covid 19) money would not go to the Health Insurance Companies any more. It would go to the individual and it would cut out 20% of wasted administration fees.

The Health Insurance Company’s stocks are up as much as 1200% in some cases. Depending on which one you are referring to such as United Health Care and some are less like 800% and 500% but heck, I will take 500%. How about you? In other words, it is time, way past time, to give the money to the American peopke. Predident Trump has posted about this as well and he is in favor of it. So, you know that this could be signed into law as long as Congress votes yes on it. My goodness, let’s hear people out and give their ideas a chance before shooting them down before even debating them. The Democrats seem to only want Government Healthcare. This is because of them wanting to have the American people under their thumb. Congress works for us and not the other way around. Competition and choices are a great thing. Capitalism is good. Socialism is bad policy! We are a free nation and that is what our country’s principles are founded upon. You were in the Army. I know that you know this already!

These health insurance stocks are the very same stocks that all of the Democrats are heavily invested in and they are the Democrats major Political Donors. It is a huge conflict of interests. Democrats are constantly out there trying to bash Trump and the Republicans about their billionaire friends. Well, guess what? These health insurance companies are the billionaire friends of the Democrats.

And a lot of these rich people that sat behind Trump on inauguration day donated to the Democrat party and not the Republican party. Hollywood is the same way.

America voted loudly for Trump and they rejected the Democrat policies. This is why Trump won the popular vote on top of the electoral vote and all 7 swing states. Also, there was still fraud and Trump still won. That election fraud is being exposed as well. What matters is Trump won the election though. So all of this TDS and hatred needs to go. It is time for real government, not bloated or corrupt government!

People currently talk about affordability. Remember, Trump and the Republicans have only been in charge for 10 months and remember they have been obstructed this entire 10 months by Democrats to include left wing liberal district court judges, who I hope, will soon be impeached! They want to try and legislate from the bench and this is why 95% of the time the Supreme Court has shot their left wing progressive ideology down! FULL STOP!

All of this exposed corruption, fraud, waste, and abuse that the Democrats pushed and were in favor of (including the gravy train) are now over with. Some may not like it and be okay with that but elections have consequences. Isn’t that what President Obama said?

It is time to put Americans first (way past time) and time to end all of the money laundering that the Democrats pushed on us. Things like loop-holding illegal immigrants into Medicaid instead of putting the American Citizens first. The Democrats want to put criminals and illegal immigrants over the American Citizens.

They want to put them over veterans such as myself and people like my 25 year old daughter who lives at home with us. 

Remember that failed and untrue talking point about you can keep your doctor, you can keep your kids (up to age 26) on your healthcare. This is all very untrue. If you are retired military like me your kids come off Tricare after age 18 and are required to enroll into Tricare youth, which by the way is way expensive as all get out, while giving this healthcare to illegal immigrants for free instead of the American citizens.

The youth can stay on your healthcare up to age 23 if they are enrolled as a full time college student but only up to age 23 and I could not afford to pay for her full time college although I am 100% disabled which is a whole other story where it is not even considered health insurance but Veteran compensation instead.  The point is it is not true that you could keep your doctor, it is not true that you can keep your kids on it up to age 26, and it is not true that your savings would be $2500 less a year. FULL STOP!

Not only did they subsidize it they subsidized the subsidies using Covid 19 as an excuse to mask the high inflated price of Obama Care, and it is not true everyone gets to stay on their parents health insurance up to age 26. Just a big fat lie!

These have all been lies and Obama Care was  jammed down the throats of the American people and the Republicans have wanted to fix this for 15 years now. But now,  they are being stalled and opstructed every step of the way these past 10 months by the Democrats.

The Democrat rule has been forced upon us all this time and let’s not forget the recent 43 day government shut down that the Democrats just forced upon us. 

They try and blame Republicans for this but the Democrats are the ones who lied about agreeing to a Clean CR and would not vote to open our government up. Every Democrat but one voted NO and wanted to keep the government shut down and closed. The House Republicans all joined together with 1 Democrat and passed a Clean CR back September 19 and voted YES to keep the government open. 

So, all of this political grand standing, whining and crying and having a hissy fit is all SHOW and POLITICAL THEATER by the House Democrats. 

They continue to vote NO this very day on the old Clean CR and they are still voting NO today on the new Clean CR. They are all voting NO on the CRs and when you vote NO, you are voting to NOT pay SNAP, WIC, Military, Government workers, etc but at the same time they are bemoaning that 42 million are not getting SNAP and pretend they care for veterans. SPARE ME!

The Democrats do not speak for this Veteran because they want to keep our Government permanently closed and they are still trying to keep it shut down right now as we speak! The longest shutdown in American History by the Democrats!

Last night, they tried to use stall tactics again and filibuster the Appropriations Committee all the way past 130 am. The Appropriations Committee does not pertain to healthcare at all. FULL STOP! They have done nothing but obstruct, try to stall, stall, and stall.

 They have TDS, and spout nothing but lies. Here, in this case, Senator Cassidy is proposing a small fix here to the ACA for the very first time and what do you say about it? You throw out nothing but blatent untruths and the same old tired Democrat talking points. Are you a Parrot? Do you work for CNN?

But here is the good news, the Government will open back up today! Regardless of all the Democrat obstruction and stall tactics and after that the ACA will get fixed and people will get better healthcare options and lower healthcare options soon. And it won’t be because of the Democrats. It will be because the Republicans are going to improve the ACA and they will lower the costs.

Like I said Trump has been President for 10 months and I think the Republicans are doing pretty darn good with everything considering all of the Democrat obstruction and stall tactics. 43 days wasted by Democrats. But that is okay, they can work weekends now! You cannot bash someone’s ideas without giving them a chance first. 

If you would have actually listened to Senator Cassidy’s proposal you would not have listed the outdated, untrue, flawed, old, and failed Democrat talking points and you would have not listed all of the things that you did because if you had listened in the first place, you would have known what he was referring to. 

The Covid 19 extended ACA subsidies. The pandemic is over. FULL STOP!

Covid began 6 years ago in 2020 and has been over for almost 4 years now. 

One last point: the ECONOMY- 62% workforce participation. Up from 59% just 1 year ago. Still has a long way to go but it is high time for people to go back to work and able bodied people, illegal immigrants, and fraud/waste to get off of the taxpayer’s dime. 

If you need SNAP and Welfare that is fine. I have no issues with people who need it but if you can work, able-bodied? Well, time to go back to work.

If you are here in the US illegally? Well, time to go home and come back LEGALLY. 

And if you are corrupt, or gaming the system, and taking from our fragile welfare and our safety net system, it is way past time for some accountability. 

I cannot wait for our country, our America to be Great Again!
